Frequently asked questions

We understand that investing in your child’s coaching is a big decision. There are lots of thoughts and concerns that you may have, so we this FAQ’s section to help to answer your questions.

What is the free taster session?

Our free taster session gives yu an opportunity to experience training before signing up to the academy.

At the end of the session the coach will provide you with details required to register if you wish to do so.

What happens if a session is cancelled?

Cancellation notices will be put out via the website and social media with the reason for cancellation. Please note that at time sessions may be cancelled at short notice due to extreme weather to ensure safety of the students.

If your session is cancelled you may attend one of our other sessions for your age group to make up. 


What if I cannot make a session?

We ask that all students attend regularly to ensure training is beneficial. If you are unable to make training you may make up your session at one of the other sessions for your age group. 


As we ensure that sessions are available to make up for any missed/cancelled sessions will not be refunded unless the student has a prolonged injury in which case the monthly cost will drop to £30 per month to secure the students place in the academy. 

What happens if a student is injured?

If a student cannot train for an entire month due to injury we will take £30 to hold your academy space and refund the difference. It is the responsibility of the payee to inform us the injury and the dates not attended. 

How do I pay for my training costs?

Fees are to paid by direct debit which you will be asked to set up in registration.

Will students be sent for trials?

We do take students to trials at clubs and at times club coaches come to watch our sessions. It is the clubs that tell us what age group they wish to see. Our coaches will only take students they deem ready for a trial. 

What is the elite session and how do students join it?

The elite session is an invite only group. The coaches will approach students that they believe will benefit from it.

Can sessions be filmed?

We asked that spectators refrain from filming students other than there own child.  Footage may only be shared with the permission of those it is of. 

Is there a sibling discount?

Yes we offer a discount to siblings. Each additional student is charge at half the advertised price.

Do you do 1:1's?

This depends on the availability of our coaches.

1:1’s. if block booking 4 must be taken within 8 weeks.
If block booking 2 must be taken within 4 weeks.

Do all students have to wear kit?

We ask that all students have SOK kit. 

Are holiday courses included?

We run holiday courses throughout the school holidays with the exception of one week in August.

  The cost of these depends on which training package you sign up for please see packages for details. If holiday courses are not included in your training package or you wish to attend additional holiday courses they are charged at £25 a day.

Are additional course run in partnership with outside goalie coaches included in fees?

No but academy students will be offered a discount on courses SOK run with partners.
